About the Role
You will lead manufacturing engineering for electrical and avionics systems from prototype through production. You will optimize processes and tooling, improve manufacturability, investigate failures, define quality standards, support suppliers, lead product transitions, and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience supporting complex electrical systems
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related field
- Prototype manufacturing
- Wiring harness manufacturing
- EWIS standards
- PCB and PCBA manufacturing
- Electrical integration and troubleshooting
- Aerospace or defense electrical systems
- Manufacturing process development
- Production scaling
- DFM and DFA principles
- Root-cause analysis
- Corrective-action methodologies
Responsibilities
- Lead manufacturing engineering for electrical and avionics systems
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, tooling, work instructions, and production flows
- Improve manufacturability, reliability, testability, and producibility with design engineering
- Drive root-cause investigations and corrective actions
- Develop work instructions, quality standards, inspection methods, and quality controls
- Support supplier qualification, process validation, and production-readiness reviews
- Lead DFM and DFA reviews and transition products into manufacturing
- Support failure analysis and reliability improvements
- Mentor junior manufacturing engineers
