About the Role
You will own manufacturing processes across programs and help establish a production line. You will define manufacturing sequences, map bills of materials to operations, create operator work instructions, improve workflow and quality controls, investigate defects, maintain process changes, and use manufacturing systems and lean methods to improve production.
Requirements
- Top Secret clearance
- 7+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, production systems, process development, or assembly engineering
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Mechatronics, or a related STEM field
- Experience in prototype manufacturing in a startup or rapid-growth environment
- Understanding of machining, composites, avionics, or assembly manufacturing processes
Responsibilities
- Define bills of process and manufacturing sequences
- Map MBOM to operations, tooling needs, and process controls
- Build ergonomic workstations
- Create visual operator-ready work instructions
- Conduct time studies, identify bottlenecks, and lead kaizen improvements
- Establish standardized work, visual controls, job aids, and layered audits
- Capture shop-floor issues and drive root-cause corrective action
- Partner on in-process checks, error-proofing, and FAI readiness
- Implement ECOs and maintain work instructions
