About the Role
You will lead the design, development, and validation of safety-critical embedded software. You will architect real-time firmware for sensors, compute modules, and vehicle interfaces; provide technical leadership and code reviews; apply safety standards; coordinate delivery; and resolve issues during vehicle testing and field deployments.
Requirements
- Demonstrate expert C++ embedded-systems development experience for safety-critical systems
- Understand RTOS concepts and programming, such as FreeRTOS or SafeRTOS
- Have experience with safety-critical standards such as ISO 26262, DO-178C, IEC 61508, or IEC 62304
- Provide technical leadership in a small team
- Have hardware abstraction layer and board support package development experience
- Understand multithreaded and real-time software design
- Understand CAN and Ethernet communication protocols, ideally in an automotive context
- Have taken at least one product through production and maintained it for paying customers
Responsibilities
- Develop scalable, modular, real-time embedded software architectures
- Mentor team members, conduct code reviews, and provide technical leadership
- Apply safety standards and robust fault handling to safety-critical software
- Coordinate team tasks to achieve on-time delivery
- Diagnose and resolve embedded software issues during vehicle testing and field deployments
