About the Role

You will develop and maintain charger firmware for AC-DC conversion and lithium-ion battery charging. You will implement power-converter control loops, charge-profile management, CAN communication with the BMS, fault protection, and firmware validation using hardware debugging tools.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of embedded firmware development in C/C++ for senior or staff-level positions
  • Experience managing interrupts, DMA, and timing-critical execution on hardware
  • Knowledge of switched-mode power supplies, AC-DC topologies, power factor correction, and transformer isolation
  • Knowledge of lithium-ion charge protocols and charge termination criteria
  • Hands-on CAN implementation and familiarity with SPI, I2C, and UART
  • Experience using oscilloscopes, current probes, and power analyzers for firmware-hardware debugging

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain charger firmware for AC-DC power conversion
  • Implement lithium-ion battery charge profile management
  • Architect charger-to-BMS communication over CAN or similar embedded bus
  • Test, validate, and verify firmware releases
  • Implement voltage regulation, current regulation, and soft-start control loops
  • Develop fault detection, protection logic, and safe-state transitions

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
