About the Role
You will operate and troubleshoot medium- and high-voltage electrical distribution in live data centers. You will run switching, lockout/tagout, and energization work; lead electrical incident response; maintain operating procedures; monitor BMS and EPMS alarms; and train junior operators.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience operating and troubleshooting 480V to 15kV+ electrical distribution equipment in live hyperscale or large colocation data centers
- Experience with generators, medium-voltage switchgear, UPS systems, and BMS/EPMS platforms
- Knowledge of NFPA 70E, arc flash boundaries, and lockout/tagout procedures
- Experience with shift-based or on-call critical-facility operations
- Experience training junior operators
- Comfort working in active construction and commissioning environments
- NETA certification, journeyman or master electrician license, or greenfield data center commissioning experience is a bonus
Responsibilities
- Operate and troubleshoot medium- and high-voltage electrical distribution systems
- Run switching, lockout/tagout, and energization work to NFPA 70E and arc flash standards
- Lead electrical incident response, isolate faults, restore power, and produce root-cause reports
- Build and maintain SOPs, MOPs, and EOPs
- Monitor and respond to BMS and EPMS alarms
- Train and mentor junior operators
