About the Role
You will lead a 24/7 remote operations center in Dallas, managing staffing, monitoring protocols, escalations, incident processes, and staff development. You will oversee monitoring of critical MEP systems, coordinate with site and engineering teams, improve tools and procedures, support site commissioning, and report operational performance and risks.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Data Center Operations experience with responsibility for critical-facility uptime
- Knowledge of data-center MEP systems, electrical distribution, backup power, and mechanical cooling
- Experience in a shift-based 24/7 operations environment
- Experience with incident management, escalation procedures, and root-cause analysis
- Experience with DCIM, BMS, EPMS, or similar monitoring and alarm-management platforms
- People-leadership experience, including hiring, coaching, and performance management
- Ability to work on-site in Dallas and support off-hours escalations
Responsibilities
- Lead 24/7 ROC operations, including staffing, scheduling, shift coverage, and performance management
- Establish and improve monitoring protocols, escalation procedures, and SOPs
- Serve as the senior escalation point for critical facility events
- Maintain knowledge of data-center MEP systems and monitoring platforms
- Ensure monitoring platforms are configured, integrated, and actionable
- Own incident management, notification, escalation, and post-incident documentation
- Lead or support root-cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions
- Develop emergency-response runbooks and escalation matrices
- Coordinate remote monitoring with on-site operations, engineering, construction, commissioning, and security teams
- Support commissioning and turnover of new sites into ROC monitoring
- Report ROC performance and uptime-impacting events to leadership
- Recruit, train, and develop ROC staff
- Identify automation, tooling, and process-standardization opportunities
