About the Role

You will develop machine-learning models for anomalous activity detection, analyze security-feature performance and pricing, and collaborate on tools that protect customers from threats. You will create compliance solutions, manage project requirements and milestones, mentor junior data scientists and interns, and communicate results across technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of data science, machine learning, and advanced analytics experience in high-velocity, high-growth companies
  • Understanding of software engineering practices including testing, code review, and deployment
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally and communicating results to non-technical partners
  • Experience deploying data science and machine learning solutions in production
  • Coding skills in SQL and a software development language, preferably Python
  • Experience with distributed data processing systems such as Spark
  • Master's degree or higher in a quantitative field or equivalent industry experience

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement machine learning models to detect anomalous activity
  • Analyze the performance and pricing of security-related features and identify opportunities
  • Collaborate with security engineers, trust and safety experts, and machine learning engineers to build protective systems and tools
  • Create solutions and frameworks to meet compliance requirements
  • Gather requirements, define project OKRs and milestones, and communicate progress
  • Guide junior data scientists and interns through project planning, technical decisions, and reviews
  • Represent the data science discipline throughout the organization
  • Represent the organization at academic and industrial conferences and events
