About the Role
Lead the Platform Data team in building a robust, scalable, and resilient data platform for portfolio applications. Collaborate with solution teams, product managers, stakeholders, customers, and peers to deliver cloud-based data solutions, make architecture and delivery decisions, mentor engineers, improve processes, and uphold quality and operational standards. Participate in the team's you-build-it-you-run-it model and on-call pager rotation.
Requirements
- Leadership acumen.
- Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle, engineering excellence processes, Agile methodologies, and project management.
- Deep data engineering experience with complex distributed systems.
- Strong technical acumen and ownership of a technical domain.
- Hands-on approach with willingness to work deeply in code.
- Strong communication, coordination, and influencing skills.
- Expertise in ETL automation and data movement using medallion architecture.
- Deep experience with Databricks, SQL, Python, PowerShell, C#/.NET, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Data Lake/Lakehouse, Qlik, Zoho Analytics, and Azure PaaS services.
- Experience with Izenda, SSRS, and AWS Data Services is a bonus.
Responsibilities

- Make decisions on solution design, architecture, and system delivery.
- Evaluate technical designs and code while experimenting with new technologies.
- Coach and mentor team members and grow their skills.
- Drive agile development and analytical methodologies.
- Improve team operations, processes, methodologies, technology choices, and practices.
- Improve cross-department processes through collaboration with teams, customers, and peers.
- Ensure transparency and partnership between engineers and business partners.
- Propose technology solutions to meet business objectives and influence decisions.
- Work with multifunctional project teams on solution architecture.
- Ensure work meets quality, operational, and architectural standards.
- Participate in on-call pager rotation through the you-build-it-you-run-it model.
