About the Role
You will perform recovery, purification, chemical conversion, and characterization of enriched isotopic materials while minimizing losses and maximizing product purity. You will use analytical equipment, create technical documentation, collaborate on technical projects, and ensure environmental, safety, health, and quality compliance.
Requirements
- BS degree in Chemistry or a closely related technical discipline
- Experience in inorganic or analytical chemistry laboratory work
- Experience with chemical-characterization techniques and quantitative analysis
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy clearance
- Pass a pre-placement drug test and participate in random drug testing
- Complete a pre-hire physical after offer
Responsibilities
- Perform recovery, purification, chemical conversion, and characterization of isotopic material
- Execute chemical conversion processes to maximize yield and product purity
- Use mass spectrometry, electron microscopy, and other material-evaluation techniques
- Support reports, presentations, operator aids, and guidelines
- Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and technicians
- Ensure environmental, safety, health, and quality compliance
