About the Role
You will own the reliability, stability, and performance of the platform. You will improve on-call practices, runbooks, escalation paths, monitoring, alerting, and incident response. You will define reliability priorities, reduce engineering toil, and embed resilient practices across engineering work.
Requirements
- Senior-level experience in SRE, infrastructure, or back-end engineering
- Experience with cloud infrastructure; GCP preferred
- Experience with structured on-call processes, alerting policies, runbooks, post-mortems, and escalation flows
- Proficiency in Python, Go, Java, or another general-purpose programming language
- Infrastructure-as-code skills, including Terraform
- Ability to debug distributed systems during live incidents
- Authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
Responsibilities
- Own production reliability across the platform
- Scale on-call practices, runbooks, escalation paths, and incident response
- Develop monitoring, alerting, and observability capabilities
- Define and prioritize the SRE roadmap, including SLOs and chaos engineering
- Reduce toil and improve developer tooling and deployments
- Embed reliability best practices with back-end, ML, and front-end engineers
