About the Role
You will develop and productionize pipeline features, benchmark and optimize performance, improve detection-algorithm accuracy, design data models and schemas, and build internal tooling. You will use AI tools to accelerate your work and help scale sequencing-data processing for pathogen detection.
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional software engineering or related experience
- Software engineering fundamentals including maintainable code and software design
- Testing and reliability practices
- Algorithm design
- Experience with distributed or cloud-based data pipelines
- Programming skills in a language of choice
- Ability to use AI tools
- Technical specification writing
Responsibilities
- Design and build pipeline features and stages from prototype to production
- Benchmark pipelines, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations
- Improve detection-algorithm sensitivity and specificity
- Design schemas and data models for sequencing data
- Build internal tools and abstractions
- Use AI tools to accelerate work
