About the Role
You will develop mission behaviors, navigation, and decision-making logic for defense platforms. You will integrate autonomy software with embedded hardware and sensors, perform SIL and HIL testing, support UAV flight tests, troubleshoot integration issues, and work with UAS vendors and customers.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on robotics systems experience
- Modern C++ experience
- Experience developing autonomy behavior, decision-making logic, or navigation algorithms
- Experience integrating robotics products with Pixhawk autopilots, ArduPilot, or PX4
- Experience with UART, RS232, RS422, RS485, SPI, QSPI, I2C, and Ethernet
- Experience with Docker, containerized deployments, and Linux operating systems
- Familiarity with real-time, edge computing, and safety-critical systems
- Ability to hold UK Security Clearance
- Willingness to travel for company business and customer sites
Responsibilities
- Develop mission behavior, navigation, and decision-making logic
- Design modular and reusable autonomy capabilities
- Integrate and deploy autonomy solutions on embedded Linux and hardware platforms
- Interface with sensors and collect data
- Conduct SIL and HIL testing and validation
- Support live flight testing of autonomy software on UAVs
- Troubleshoot software and integration issues
- Collaborate with UAS vendors and cross-functional teams
