About the Role
You will design resilient inter-site, cloud, and internet connectivity. You will automate edge routing, firewalls, VPNs, and carrier connectivity; validate safe changes; troubleshoot incidents; and improve network reliability with providers and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- WAN and edge-networking experience
- External BGP design and production-debugging experience
- Stateful firewall, NAT, asymmetric-routing, and redundant-edge experience
- Production network-automation experience
- REST, NETCONF, gNMI/OpenConfig, Ansible, or Terraform knowledge
- Software engineering, testing, debugging, and code-review skills
- Routing, flow-state, packet-capture, telemetry, and log troubleshooting skills
- Stakeholder-management skills
Responsibilities
- Design resilient inter-site, cloud, and internet connectivity
- Own external BGP policy and traffic engineering
- Build API-driven automation for routing, firewalls, VPNs, carrier connectivity, and segmentation
- Coordinate with carriers, cloud providers, colocation partners, and vendors
- Design safe change workflows with validation, resilience testing, staged rollouts, rollback, and recovery
- Participate in on-call rotations and resolve WAN and edge incidents
- Review designs and code and explain networking trade-offs
