About the Role
You will build and polish core Android experiences, including page rendering, writing and editing, navigation, and Home, Search, and Inbox. You will partner with product and design, use feedback and data to iterate, improve performance and reliability, and add testing and monitoring to prevent regressions.
Requirements
- Experience building and shipping Android applications
- Knowledge of Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, Flow, and Gradle
- Ability to build performant native UI
- Product judgment and experience using feedback and data
- Clear written communication and problem-solving
- Experience using AI tools and agents for engineering workflows
Responsibilities
- Build and polish core Android experiences for reading, writing, editing, navigation, Home, Search, and Inbox
- Partner with product managers and designers to ship and iterate on features
- Use AI coding tools and agents to build, test, and investigate while maintaining quality
- Improve startup time, scrolling, typing latency, crash rates, and memory use
- Add tests and monitoring to catch regressions
- Own a core Android product area from idea through launch
