About the Role
You will build and maintain infrastructure for model training, inference, and protein design. You will partner with scientists to turn research and bespoke processes into reusable workflows, optimize workloads and costs, and implement CI/CD, monitoring, alerting, and engineering best practices.
Requirements
- BS, MS, or PhD in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of backend or full-stack engineering experience
- Experience building tools, platforms, or infrastructure for technical users
- Experience building high-performance systems
- Track record of building systems and software that users enjoy using
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain infrastructure for model training
- Build and maintain infrastructure and software for model inference and protein design
- Standardize research workflows into reusable tooling with ML scientists
- Identify and build tooling that enables or accelerates research
- Translate protein design processes into reproducible standardized workflows
- Optimize training and inference workloads and reduce compute and storage costs
- Implement CI/CD, monitoring, and alerting for services and applications
- Follow and share engineering best practices
