About the Role

You will own the lifecycle and performance of microVM-based agent sandboxes. You will build and tune guest kernels, manage host resources, design multi-tenant isolation, and debug virtualization issues from userspace through the kernel and hardware.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with KVM and Firecracker, Cloud Hypervisor, or QEMU
  • Deep understanding of Linux internals, including namespaces, cgroups, memory management, and boot paths
  • Experience building multi-tenant cloud infrastructure and isolation systems
  • Systems programming experience with Rust, Go, C, or C++
  • Experience debugging performance and correctness across userspace and kernel boundaries

Responsibilities

  • Own the microVM sandbox lifecycle, including startup, shutdown, suspension, resumption, snapshots, and forks
  • Build and tune custom guest Linux kernels
  • Tune host CPU and memory configuration and manage sandbox density
  • Optimize sandbox startup and resume performance
  • Own sandbox identity, storage attachments, and network virtual devices
  • Design multi-tenant isolation with the hypervisor as a security boundary
