About the Role
You will help build and improve backend services for reliable, scalable customer sessions. You will write maintainable Java code, develop APIs and database-backed functionality, test changes, participate in reviews and design discussions, investigate bugs, learn about scaling and cloud infrastructure, maintain documentation, and collaborate on reliability and performance improvements.
Requirements
- Some experience building backend software through work, internships, placements, bootcamps, university projects, or personal projects
- Understanding of Java or a similar object-oriented programming language
- Familiarity with databases and SQL
- Awareness of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles
- Interest in distributed systems, reliability, monitoring, and high-traffic backend systems
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, containers, or CI/CD is helpful
- Understanding of testing basics
- Ability to work in a team environment and receive feedback
- Practical problem-solving approach
Responsibilities
- Build and improve backend services for customer sessions
