About the Role

You will design, build, and optimise a multi-region, multi-tenanted Execution Management System. You will develop low-latency and high-throughput components, improve critical-path performance, maintain fault-tolerant services, and support data consistency across regions. You will also implement monitoring and alerting, review code, collaborate across functions, and use AI coding assistants critically.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional backend engineering experience with concurrent performance-sensitive systems
  • Production Rust expertise and ability to explain and defend a non-trivial Rust system
  • Experience with distributed systems and event-driven architectures such as NATS or Aeron
  • Knowledge of multi-tenancy patterns and best practices
  • Familiarity with AWS GCP or Azure and multi-region deployment tools
  • Working knowledge of PostgreSQL SQLite Redis and ZooKeeper
  • Experience with Prometheus Grafana or the ELK stack
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of crypto markets and products is desirable
  • Experience leveraging LLMs to accelerate delivery
  • Financial services experience and trading or EMS platform experience are desired

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement low-latency high-throughput EMS systems
  • Analyse and optimise critical system paths
  • Maintain distributed fault-tolerant systems across multiple regions
  • Ensure data consistency and low-latency communication
  • Implement real-time monitoring telemetry and alerting
  • Collaborate with product QA and infrastructure stakeholders
  • Review code rigorously
  • Use AI coding assistants critically
