About the Role
You will design scalable APIs, distributed systems, and data infrastructure; evolve core storage and data models; ship backend systems; work on collaboration, databases, and event pipelines; balance technical investments with delivery speed; and collaborate across product disciplines.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of backend engineering experience building scalable systems
- Proficiency in Node.js, Python, or similar backend technologies
- Database experience with PostgreSQL and Redis
- Experience with high-traffic production systems and performance optimization
- Track record shipping complex applications under tight timelines
- Understanding of technical decisions' impact on user experience and business metrics
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable APIs, distributed systems, and data infrastructure
- Define and evolve core data models and storage systems
- Ship backend systems that impact growth metrics and user experience
- Work on real-time collaborative editing, databases, public APIs, and event pipelines
- Balance long-term technical investments with rapid shipping velocity
- Collaborate across frontend, product, and data teams
