About the Role
Build and operate a multi-surface API platform focused on reliability, correctness, developer experience, autonomous tooling, and AI-assisted endpoint development.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience
- Experience building APIs or developer-facing platforms
- Strong developer experience instincts, including documentation, errors, and onboarding
- Strong ownership of technical and business outcomes
- Daily hands-on use of AI coding agents as the primary development driver
- Comfort with agentic workflows, orchestration layers, and AI tooling
Responsibilities
- Build and operate Ramp's multi-surface API platform.
- Serve API builders and partners using Ramp's API.
- Build autonomous tooling and agents that accelerate endpoint creation.
- Lead complex backend projects from architecture through monitoring using Python, Temporal, and Postgres.
- Own API user experience, platform robustness, quality, reliability, and sustainability.
