About the Role
You will build and operate a multi-surface API platform with a focus on reliability, correctness, and developer experience. You will create autonomous tooling and agents that accelerate endpoint development, lead backend projects from architecture through monitoring, and strengthen the API’s quality, reliability, and sustainability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience
- Experience building APIs or developer-facing platforms
- Developer experience expertise
- Ownership of technical and business outcomes in a fast-paced environment
- Hands-on daily use of AI coding agents as a primary development driver
- Comfort with agentic workflows, orchestration layers, and AI tooling
Responsibilities
- Build and operate Ramp's multi-surface platform with high reliability, correctness, and developer experience
- Serve API builders and partners
- Build autonomous tooling and agents that accelerate endpoint creation
- Lead complex backend projects from architecture through monitoring using Python, Temporal, and Postgres
- Own and improve the API user experience and platform robustness
