About the Role
You will lead the rearchitecture of a central data platform for a growing context graph. You will design APIs, ontologies, SDKs, developer tooling, permissioning systems, query abstractions, schemas, data models, uploads, and pipelines. You will optimize storage and workload routing, write Terraform, build self-service tools, and automate cloud infrastructure to improve operational resilience.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on production software development experience
- Expertise in clean, maintainable code for backend infrastructure, databases, or developer tooling
- Experience designing secure, user-friendly APIs
- Communication skills and knowledge of developer experience
- Ability to own long-lived technical projects and contribute to architectural decisions
- Problem-solving skills
- DevOps practices, operational resilience, and automation knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field, or equivalent practical experience
Responsibilities
- Lead the rearchitecture of the Rolodex data platform
- Deliver ontologies, APIs, SDKs, and local development tooling
- Evolve the centralized permissioning system
- Design and optimize query abstractions, indexing, and workload routing
- Establish shared patterns for schemas, data modeling, uploads, and pipelines
- Write Terraform and build self-service cloud tooling
- Automate cloud infrastructure and reduce engineering toil
