About the Role

Own the technical roadmap for underwriting, limit management, portfolio optimization, and agentic workflows. Architect scalable stateful systems, build real-time credit decisioning and risk controls, automate credit decisions, and partner with analysts, data scientists, and product partners to translate risk strategies into reliable software.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of backend engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in Python or a comparable backend language.
  • Experience with distributed systems and async frameworks.
  • Ability to convert abstract business problems into robust data models and technical specifications.
  • Experience building or operating systems with strict auditability, observability, and correctness guarantees.
  • Ability to work closely with non-engineering partners in Risk Strategy, Operations, and Sales.

Responsibilities

  • Architect scalable, stateful systems for automated limit management.
  • Build agents and tools that automate manual credit decisions and improve operational efficiency.
  • Develop high-volume, low-latency risk controls for new products, customer segments, and geographies.
  • Design and build real-time decisioning systems across the credit lifecycle.
  • Partner with analysts, data scientists, and product partners to translate risk strategies into reliable software.
