About the Role
You will build, operate, and grow scalable distributed backends with developer-friendly APIs. You will support engineering teams, define and review platform projects, improve development and reliability practices, troubleshoot production issues, and document your work.
Requirements
- Deep experience building and scaling distributed systems
- Expertise in Go or TypeScript
- Familiarity with CI/CD, Kubernetes, Docker, message queues, relational databases, automated testing, performance optimization, and multi-region deployments
- Systems-thinking mindset
- Ability to work five days per week at the San Francisco headquarters or relocate
Responsibilities
- Build, operate, and grow scalable distributed backends and APIs
- Support engineering teams building on the Core platform
- Define, scope, review, and prioritize platform projects
- Establish development, operations, and reliability best practices
- Enhance the platform for growing customer demand
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues
- Document work and share knowledge
