About the Role
You will own VIA’s social media strategy and daily execution across priority channels. You will create and publish content, manage community engagement, optimize performance, run integrated campaigns, and amplify events. You will also grow executive and employee social presence, establish content governance, and direct agency, freelance, and internal contributors.
Requirements
- 5+ years of dedicated social media experience at a technology company
- Experience owning a social media program end to end
- Demonstrated success growing audiences and engagement across multiple platforms
- Experience planning and optimizing paid social campaigns
- Experience building executive and employee social presence
- Experience directing agencies, freelancers, or contractors and leading cross-functional campaigns
- Fluency with social scheduling, listening, and analytics tools
- Ability to turn data into clear recommendations
- Sound judgment when sharing customer, security, or sensitive information
- Ability to set standards and coach employees and executives
- Strong communication and stakeholder-influencing skills
Responsibilities
- Own the social media strategy across priority channels
- Define channel goals, audiences, voice, and visual guidelines
- Measure performance, conduct competitor and industry research, and recommend strategy improvements
- Plan paid social campaigns, including goals, targeting, placements, and budget
- Lead the social content calendar with internal stakeholders and the PR agency
- Build and manage social-content review, approval, and escalation processes
- Schedule and publish content across social channels
- Create content and direct designers, freelancers, and agency partners on visuals and video
- Respond to comments, mentions, and messages
- Participate in relevant groups and forums
- Lead integrated social campaigns and extend content to the website and other channels
- Provide real-time social coverage for conferences, launches, and company events
- Grow the CEO’s social presence
- Launch and grow an employee social media ambassador program
- Create employee social media guidelines and deliver training sessions
