About the Role

You will lead simulation test engineers and set the strategic and technical direction for virtual verification and validation. You will align simulation evidence with safety standards, develop test strategies and scenarios, oversee test campaigns, evolve simulation tools, and communicate validation status, risks, and findings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field with 6+ years of experience, or a master's degree with 4+ years of experience
• Experience leading virtual testing and simulation of perception and autonomous vehicle behavior
• Knowledge of ISO 26262, ISO 21448, and ISO 8800
• Experience defining test strategy and traceable simulation scenarios and test cases
• Familiarity with scenario-based testing and ASAM OpenSCENARIO
• Python and SQL data-analysis skills
• System-level troubleshooting, problem-solving, fault isolation, and identification experience
• Knowledge of probability, statistics, and linear algebra
• Experience managing cross-functional partners, internal tools teams, and external simulation vendors
• Experience reporting progress and test results to leadership and stakeholders
• Knowledge of autonomous vehicle validation approaches

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow simulation test engineers
• Define and own the scaled simulation V&V strategy, roadmap, and technical direction
• Align simulation methods and evidence with ISO 21448, ISO 8800, and ISO 26262
• Translate requirements, hazards, and ODD definitions into simulation strategies and release criteria
• Plan and oversee simulation test campaigns
• Evolve the Scenario Library for ODD coverage and requirements traceability
• Identify testing gaps and drive simulation-tool and test-framework improvements
• Manage internal tools teams and external simulation vendors
• Review simulation results and communicate V&V status, risks, and findings
