About the Role

You will make simulation results hold up on physical hardware. You will build and validate dynamics, material, actuator, sensor, and environment models; measure sim-to-real error; optimize physics and rendering; and ensure reproducible simulation infrastructure.

Requirements

• Strong Python, C++, or similar programming skills
• Experience using robotics simulators such as MuJoCo, PyBullet, or Isaac Sim
• Experience improving simulation fidelity and sim-to-real transfer on physical hardware
• Experience modeling sensor failure modes in simulation
• Experience improving physics-simulator or rendering-pipeline performance
• Strong testing practices for robot-learning simulation stacks
• 5+ years of relevant industry experience or an advanced degree with equivalent hands-on experience

Responsibilities

• Improve contact dynamics, articulated-body models, and actuator and transmission fidelity
• Model compliant and deformable bodies for contact-rich behavior
• Model sensor noise, bias, dropout, latency, and timing
• Establish benchmarks and real-robot comparisons for sim-to-real error
• Decide which discrepancies to model or randomize
• Make simulations deterministic and reproducible
• Optimize physics and rendering and deliver simulation environments and synthetic-data pipelines
