About the Role

You will build and maintain physics-based simulation environments for dexterous manipulation tasks. You will develop gym environments, observation and action spaces, and reward functions; reduce reward hacking and sim-to-real gaps; integrate 3D assets; validate physics; optimize simulation throughput; and improve evaluation and reinforcement learning infrastructure.

Requirements

  • 3+ years building simulation environments or game-engine-based interactive systems
  • Experience with physics simulators or physically accurate game-engine interactions
  • Experience running large-scale parallel simulation on GPU clusters
  • Python
  • Modern software engineering practices
  • Experiment documentation and communication

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement gym environments for manipulation tasks
  • Define observation spaces, action spaces, and reward functions
  • Analyze and address reward hacking
  • Reduce the sim-to-real gap through physics tuning, asset fidelity, and real-world validation
  • Procure, validate, and integrate 3D assets
  • Ensure correct contact dynamics, friction, mass properties, and joint limits
  • Reduce simulation bottlenecks and improve training throughput
  • Improve simulation-based evaluation and reinforcement learning infrastructure

Benefits

  • Stock options
  • 30+ paid days off
  • Private healthcare
  • Pension scheme with 8% total contribution
  • Free daily breakfast, catered lunch, and snacks in-office
