About the Role

You will design, optimize, and maintain simulation systems, tools, and virtual environments for robotic warehouse automation. You will build scalable faster-than-real-time and multi-fidelity simulations, evaluate and improve simulation capabilities, collaborate across engineering functions, document designs, communicate technical recommendations, and mentor other engineers.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • 2+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Professional Gz-Sim and ROS2 expertise
  • Mastery of C++ and Python
  • Ability to design, implement, test, optimize, and maintain complex simulation software
  • Experience developing simulations, digital twins, virtual environments, or system modeling tools
  • Verbal and written English proficiency
  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive or fly to client and customer locations

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain simulation systems, tools, and virtual environments
  • Develop scalable faster-than-real-time simulation environments
  • Build component-, robot-, fleet-, and system-level simulation capabilities
  • Evaluate simulation tools and improve performance, scalability, accuracy, and usability
  • Support simulations for robots, perception, controls, routing, fleet coordination, and warehouse operations
  • Collaborate with robotics, controls, perception, cloud, QA, and product teams
  • Provide technical insights, trade-off analysis, risks, and recommendations
  • Mentor engineers and promote engineering best practices
  • Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, configuration guides, and operational instructions
  • Stay current with simulation, robotics, digital twin, physics, rendering, cloud simulation, and AI-assisted development technologies
  • Perform related duties assigned by the manager or employer
