About the Role
You will inspect, receive, document, package, and ship materials while maintaining compliance with purchase orders, quality requirements, export controls, hazardous-material rules, and traceability standards. You will coordinate shipment exceptions, receiving inspections, inventory activities, carriers, and cross-facility coverage.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Pass a pre-employment drug screening and state and federal background checks
- Be eligible to obtain and maintain state and federal explosives licenses
- Ability to use a forklift and lift, carry, or move items up to 50 pounds
- Forklift certification required or obtained upon hire
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Experience maintaining shipping and receiving records
- Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain required export authorization
Responsibilities
- Inspect and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing lists, and certificates of conformance
- Process receipts accurately in NetSuite
- Document and escalate shipment discrepancies, damages, shortages, and non-conforming material
- Coordinate receiving discrepancies with accounts payable
- Coordinate handoff of materials requiring receiving inspection
- Prepare outbound shipments, including packaging, labeling, carrier coordination, and shipping documentation
- Ensure compliance with ITAR, export-control, government freight, and hazmat requirements
- Maintain shipping and receiving logs and traceability documentation
- Obtain and file required material certifications
- Support physical inventory and cycle counts
- Communicate receipt status, delays, and shipment exceptions
- Perform cross-facility duties as required
