About the Role

You will manage end-to-end day-shift operations for Vehicle Operators and Fleet Specialists. You will assign work with Dispatch, lead and develop operators, enforce safety and regulatory compliance, manage fatigue and personnel-to-vehicle assignments, coordinate incident response, conduct terminal checks, and ensure complete shift handoffs.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in fleet operations, logistics, or transportation management
• Leadership experience managing CDL operators or shift-based teams
• Deep knowledge of DOT and FMCSA transportation regulations, including Hours of Service
• Proficiency with fleet management software, scheduling tools, and telematics platforms
• Strong written communication
• Ability to work flexible day-shift hours, extended shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to travel to remote sites and roadside locations as needed

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end day-shift operations for Vehicle Operators and Fleet Specialists
• Assign work and execute testing missions and commercial runs with Dispatch
• Lead, coach, and develop Vehicle Operators
• Enforce safety, compliance, and inspection requirements
• Evaluate crew performance and deliver real-time coaching and corrective action
• Manage crew fatigue, rest periods, meal periods, and fitness for duty
• Own personnel-to-vehicle assignments
• Own shift-to-shift handoffs
• Serve as the on-site escalation point and initiate incident response
• Run compliance and terminal checks and coordinate mechanical and technical issue triage
• Represent Waabi with customer facilities, carrier partners, and site contacts
