About the Role
You will take technical ownership of a React Native mobile application and lead its architecture, performance, reliability, and long-term maintainability across iOS and Android. You will build, test, release, monitor, and improve mobile features; make architectural decisions; guide engineers through reviews and design discussions; integrate backend APIs and real-time data; and manage application releases and production issues.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with significant production mobile application experience.
- Experience building fintech or trading applications.
- Experience with blockchain, Web3, or DeFi.
- Professional experience with React Native, React, and TypeScript.
- Experience owning or leading technical development of a production mobile application.
- Understanding of mobile architecture, design patterns, state management, performance, testing, and maintainability.
- Experience integrating mobile applications with backend APIs and services.
- Experience with Node.js and REST APIs.
- Experience debugging production issues and optimizing mobile performance.
- Experience with mobile CI/CD, testing, monitoring, release processes, and publishing applications to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
- Fluency in English.
- Based in the EU or New York timezone.
Responsibilities
- Take technical ownership of the React Native mobile application, including architecture, scalability, performance, reliability, and maintainability across iOS and Android.
- Lead the mobile feature lifecycle from technical design and implementation through testing, release, monitoring, and iteration.
- Build mobile functionality using React Native and TypeScript while maintaining engineering standards and best practices.
- Make architectural decisions and improve mobile architecture and development processes.
- Provide technical guidance through code reviews, design discussions, pair programming, and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Backend Engineering on technical solutions, API design, integrations, real-time data flows, and infrastructure.
- Own mobile releases, application health, monitoring, issue triage, and production-incident investigation.
- Evaluate relevant mobile development technologies, frameworks, and tools.
