About the Role

Join Robinhood's Tax Operations team supporting tax information reporting and compliance for equities and crypto. This role handles exception reports, tax-related inquiries, reconciliations, data verification, dashboards, and process automation while collaborating with product, project, engineering, customer experience, and account operations teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a similar field.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in tax, accounting, and/or operations.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage and drive projects to completion in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Financial services, fintech, and/or crypto experience preferred.
  • Previous Tax Ops or Tax Project Management experience.
  • Understanding of tax onboarding, including IRS Forms W-9 and W-8BEN.
  • Prior expertise with SQL, Databricks, or similar tools.
  • Proficiency working with large datasets, data mining, and data conversions.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product, project, and engineering teams to launch, improve, and scale Robinhood products and systems.
  • Contribute to and track tax-related projects such as new product launches and promotions.
  • Help Customer Experience and Account Ops teams resolve tax-related inquiries and reporting and withholding issues.
  • Develop and assist with reconciliations between internal systems and vendors and verify data sent to the IRS.
  • Execute exception reports covering reporting, withholding, and cost basis while implementing internal policies and procedures.
  • Build and maintain dashboards, metrics, checklists, workflows, and queries to improve team functions and customer experience.
  • Streamline data flow across Robinhood entities and departments and automate processes where possible.
