About the Role
You will monitor compute, storage, operating-system, and virtualization health signals. You will acknowledge and classify incidents, execute documented runbooks, resolve permitted L2 issues, maintain complete ticket records, coordinate escalations, and contribute to operational improvements while working rotational 24x7 shifts.
Requirements
- Graduate or Engineer in a relevant field
- 5-8 years of experience in systems administration, NOC/SOC, or IT operations
- Hands-on Linux and/or Windows server administration
- Knowledge of operating systems, processes, services, and log analysis
- Familiarity with compute, storage, virtualization, VMs, hypervisors, and basic networking
- Understanding of incident management and severity-based triage
- Exposure to monitoring, observability, alerting, ticketing, and ITSM tools
- Ability to work rotational 24x7 shifts
- English verbal and written communication
Responsibilities
- Monitor systems health signals from a consolidated dashboard
- Acknowledge alerts and incidents within first-response SLAs
- Review alerts, recent changes, and CMDB records
- Classify incidents by severity and customer impact
- Route tickets to the correct tower or escalation path
- Execute documented runbooks and permitted L2 actions
- Document actions and evidence in incident tickets
- Escalate unresolved or out-of-scope issues with complete handoffs
- Initiate and support major-incident bridges
- Maintain shift logs, ticket updates, and incident timelines
- Provide status communications and shift handovers
- Identify recurring alerts for tuning and automation
- Improve runbooks and knowledge-base articles
- Participate in post-incident and trend reviews
