About the Role
You will design, deploy, secure, and maintain resilient data center and operational technology networks. You will procure networking hardware, improve automation, coordinate maintenance, troubleshoot incidents, document architectures, support deployments and cutovers, and provide operational support for critical systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or another STEM discipline and 3+ years of professional network engineering experience, or 5+ years of professional network engineering experience in lieu of a degree
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in operational technology networking, critical facilities, industrial automation, or controls engineering
- Experience designing, deploying, supporting, and troubleshooting Layer 2 and Layer 3 networks
- Experience with multiple network vendors
- Experience with GitOps and infrastructure-as-code frameworks
- Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and emergency on-call rotations
- Willingness to travel up to 20%
- Ability to lift 30 pounds
- Ability to work at heights
- Valid driver's license
Responsibilities
- Design and implement highly available networks
- Maintain mission data center and site networks
- Evaluate, procure, and deploy networking hardware
- Improve network automation and deployment tooling
- Coordinate network maintenance and outage windows
- Troubleshoot network issues and publish root-cause documentation
- Provide networking support during operations
- Improve network monitoring and telemetry
- Create and update network documentation
- Develop implementation plans with customers, vendors, and contractors
- Maintain compliance with cybersecurity and industry standards
- Design resilient multi-site operational technology network topologies
- Audit and enforce zero-trust firewalls
- Author network architecture, IP, VLAN, and data-flow documentation
- Support on-site deployment, network cutovers, and site commissioning
