About the Role
You design, deploy, manage, monitor, and maintain storage infrastructure and systems. You perform capacity planning, implement backup and disaster recovery strategies, troubleshoot storage issues, document configurations and procedures, collaborate on upgrades and migrations, and automate provisioning with scripting or infrastructure-as-code tools.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of Linux systems administration experience focused on storage
- Experience with enterprise storage systems such as Purestorage, NetApp, EMC, Dell, IBM, or Hitachi
- Strong understanding of RAID, LVM, NFS, iSCSI, multipathing, and file systems including ext4, XFS, and ZFS
- Hands-on experience with enterprise storage systems and clustering technologies
- Proficiency in shell scripting
- Knowledge of Python, Puppet, or Ansible
- Experience with VMware or KVM virtualization
- Familiarity with AWS S3 and EBS cloud storage
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Prometheus, or Zabbix
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy SAN, NAS, DAS, and object storage infrastructure
- Monitor and maintain storage systems for performance, availability, and reliability
- Perform capacity planning and forecast future storage needs
- Develop and implement backup, replication, and disaster recovery strategies
- Troubleshoot and resolve storage system issues
- Maintain documentation of configurations, procedures, and standards
- Collaborate on system upgrades, migrations, and integrations
- Automate storage provisioning and management with scripting or infrastructure-as-code tools
