About the Role
You will own the product quality lifecycle from raw material receipt through final shipment. You will define supplier quality strategy, lead receiving and production inspection teams, manage the quality management system and calibration program, ensure ISO and UL compliance, track quality KPIs, lead non-conformance activities, train employees, and mitigate quality risks.
Requirements
- 5+ years of product quality experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field is preferred
- Experience training and developing junior team members
- Advanced understanding of build quality practices
- Structural and electrical inspection experience
- Ability to interpret engineering blueprints and schematics
- Experience developing and implementing Quality Management Systems
- Experience with performance dashboards and quality improvement roadmaps
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to lead through ambiguity and manage shop-floor conflict
- Ability to make data-driven decisions and approve final product shipment
- Ability to pass a background check
Responsibilities
- Define and execute supplier quality strategy
- Direct and mentor receiving and production QC inspection teams
- Manage and evolve the Quality Management System
- Implement incoming material reviews, CAPA processes, and traceability protocols
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, UL 891, and UL 9540
- Manage the calibration program for testing equipment and tooling
- Partner with Procurement, Engineering, and Operations
- Define and track product quality KPIs
- Present quality insights and risk assessments to senior leadership
- Lead non-conformance activities
- Train employees on process improvement and quality matters
- Conduct quality assessments for critical build phases
- Develop contingency strategies for quality disruptions
