About the Role
You will lead the design, analysis, and integration of aircraft avionics thermal-management systems. You will develop thermal and fluid models, plan and conduct testing, correlate models with results, communicate findings, identify risks, and influence avionics and PCBA design decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience in avionics or electronics thermal engineering
- Expertise in heat transfer and fluid mechanics
- Understanding of active and passive cooling solutions
- Understanding of thermal-management components including TIMs, spreaders, heat sinks, vapor chambers, heat pipes, and fans
- Proficiency with thermal analysis and CFD tools
- Proficiency with CAD design tools
- Experience applying first-principles reasoning to complex engineering problems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to adapt to new tools, processes, and technical challenges
Responsibilities
- Contribute to thermal analysis and design for UAV avionics and thermal-fluid systems
- Develop and validate heat-transfer and fluid-flow models
- Plan tests, instrumentation, and data analysis
- Correlate models with experimental results
- Communicate technical findings through briefings, reviews, and reports
- Identify risks, propose solutions, and influence electrical or PCBA design direction
