About the Role
You will audit and qualify suppliers, manage their quality lifecycle, and support manufacturability reviews. You will lead APQP and PPAP delivery, validate manufacturing and testing processes, analyze field performance, drive corrective actions, and improve supplier-related quality systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related technical field
- Understanding of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, Gage R&R, and SPC
- Experience managing APQP phases and PPAP elements for safety-critical components
- Mastery of 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone analysis, and corrective actions
- Proficiency with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD and CAE tools
- Experience with GD&T
- Experience with PCB, PCBA, wire harness, sheet metal, injection molding, stamping, die casting, and CNC machining
- Experience with finite element analysis
- Experience with PLM tools and engineering change orders
- Experience with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or ISO 26262
- Ability to travel approximately 25–50%
Responsibilities
- Conduct technical supplier audits and qualification activities
- Manage supplier quality activities from sourcing through service-life support
- Support design-for-manufacturing reviews
- Lead APQP and PPAP processes
- Develop PFMEAs, process flow diagrams, and control plans
- Define manufacturing special characteristics for mechanical assembly and system integration
- Define and validate end-of-line testers and calibration requirements
- Conduct process-verification testing and run-at-rate studies
- Analyze field performance data and drive supplier corrective actions
- Lead root-cause corrective-action processes using 8D
- Support and improve supplier-related quality management systems
