About the Role
You will serve as the physical-integration expert for weapons and payloads on aircraft. You will collaborate with aircraft design and analysis teams, design pylons and fittings, support design reviews, and report design progress. You will also support ground and flight integration testing for weapons bays, external pylons, and associated release hardware.
Requirements
- Strong CAD skills, preferably Siemens NX
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
- 10 or more years of mechanical or mechanism design experience
- Familiarity with bomb rack units, launcher assembly units, and launcher systems
- Knowledge of pneumatic power systems for military aircraft
- Experience designing suspension and release mounting fixtures and fittings
- Experience designing weapon pylons
- Ability to work independently across fast-paced, cross-functional organizations
