About the Role
You will serve as the technical authority for integration, verification, and flight testing of mission autonomy on unmanned aircraft systems. You will determine test readiness, direct test execution, manage risk, define verification strategy and metrics, oversee procedures, coordinate cross-functional contributors, and document results, anomalies, and corrective actions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline
- 7+ years of system integration and test experience
- Experience with SIL, HIL, simulation, and flight-test environments
- Experience leading test execution and readiness and risk decisions
- Cross-functional experience with systems, software, hardware, safety, and program management
- Written and verbal technical communication skills
Responsibilities
- Act as Test Director for system-level integration and flight test campaigns
- Own test readiness decisions for lab, simulation, ground, and flight phases
- Plan and execute fly-fix-fly test campaigns
- Define and enforce test strategy, verification, validation, and test objectives
- Direct cross-functional test execution
- Determine requirements for SIL, HIL, simulation, flight assets, and automated test pipelines
- Approve test procedures, test cards, and execution plans
- Define performance metrics and success criteria
- Lead flight-test risk assessments, hazard analyses, and mitigation planning
- Report test progress, results, and risks to stakeholders
- Establish test standards, SOPs, and best practices
- Document test results, anomalies, corrective actions, and lessons learned
- Travel to test sites, customer events, and integration activities as required
