About the Role
You will develop and execute mechanical test plans, design and operate test fixtures, integrate sensors, automate testing with Python, and analyze results. You will lead CAD design and finite-element analysis for test equipment while supporting test campaigns, lab safety, and equipment maintenance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 12+ years of experience in mechanical testing or product-development environments.
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems and their control and measurement.
- Experience with sensor selection, integration, and calibration in test environments.
- Proficiency in Python for scripting, test automation, and data analysis.
- Advanced Siemens NX CAD skills for designing test hardware and prototypes.
- Problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test plans to validate mechanical performance, structural integrity, and environmental durability.
- Design, build, and operate hydraulic test fixtures, mechanical linkages, and sensor instrumentation.
- Integrate and calibrate sensors for test setups and data collection.
- Create and maintain Python scripts for automation, signal processing, and visualization.
- Analyze test data, troubleshoot systems, and generate technical reports with design feedback.
- Collaborate with mechanical, systems, and electrical engineering teams on test requirements and campaigns.
- Lead CAD design of test equipment, prototypes, fixtures, and components.
- Perform finite element analysis and correlate results with test data.
- Work with metallic and composite materials in mechanical-component design, fabrication, and testing.
- Support lab safety, equipment maintenance, and test-capability improvement.
