About the Role

You will design end-to-end electrical-optical-electrical links that meet customer requirements. You will model electro-optic systems, co-design silicon photonic devices, validate models through RF experiments and prototype testing, collaborate on circuit specifications, and document and present technical contributions.

Requirements

• PhD in Electrical Engineering or a similar discipline with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with at least 8 years of relevant experience
• At least 3 years of electronic-photonic-electronic systems simulation experience
• At least 2 years of hardware testing and measurement experience with photonic high-speed optical modulators and receivers
• Proficiency with Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre, Verilog-A, Ansys HFSS, and Keysight ADS
• Python or Matlab simulation coding experience
• RF/mm-wave analog circuit design experience
• Optical communication link modeling experience
• Experience with corner analysis and Monte Carlo analysis
• Experience collaborating with photonics and electronics teams

Responsibilities

• Contribute to electro-optic architecture solutions for high-volume products
• Model electro-optic systems using photonics-analog simulators
• Design end-to-end electrical-optical-electrical links
• Co-design silicon photonic devices based on simulation results
• Validate models through high-speed RF and proof-of-concept experiments
• Specify, design, and validate circuits with electronics and photonics engineers
• Document and present contributions to stakeholders
