About the Role
You will design, develop, test, and maintain production C++ applications for Linux and Windows edge-computing platforms. You will integrate imaging and sensor systems, optimize performance and reliability, diagnose complex cross-system issues, lead architecture, and mentor engineers.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
- Commercial experience developing modern C++ software for Linux
- Experience developing user-space applications that interface with hardware through operating-system APIs, middleware, or vendor SDKs
- Experience developing and debugging software on Linux
- Experience developing complex C++ applications on Linux, Windows, or both
- Knowledge of concurrency, interfaces, memory management, data structures, algorithms, testing, and version control
- Ability to diagnose complex issues across software, Linux, networking, timing, hardware integration, and deployment
- Experience owning technical work from incomplete requirements through delivery
- Collaboration skills across multidisciplinary engineering teams

- Lead the technical direction of edge software capabilities
- Influence software architecture across projects and engineering teams
- Drive engineering excellence through design reviews and technical standards
- Mentor and coach engineers
- Translate long-term capability into engineering roadmaps
- Identify technical risks and guide robust solutions
- Design, develop, test, and maintain production C++ software
- Build Windows and Linux applications for edge-computing platforms
- Integrate cameras, sensors, and mission systems
- Develop calibration, synchronization, data-capture, diagnostics, inspection, and configuration tools
- Optimize software for latency, throughput, reliability, power consumption, and thermal performance
- Debug issues across software, Linux, networking, hardware interfaces, timing, deployment, and integration
- Own technical outcomes from requirements through delivery
