About the Role
You will lead software-platform development for industrial automation applications. You will guide architecture and reviews, build robot behaviors and system APIs, integrate sensors and perception models, improve vision and control products, manage and develop engineering talent, and collaborate with leadership.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of technical leadership and people-management experience in a fast-paced startup environment
- Experience programming in Rust, C++, and Python
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining complex real-time multi-process software systems in a commercial environment
- Experience evaluating and learning new technologies
- Robotics experience or willingness to learn robotics
- Commercial experience
- 6DOF experience
- Green Card holder or US Citizen
Responsibilities
- Lead the engineering team designing and developing the software platform
- Participate in architectural design and review
- Build high-level robot behaviors and APIs
- Integrate robotic sensors into the software stack
- Interface with machine-learning models and perception systems
- Collaborate to improve vision and control products
- Recruit, grow, and retain engineering talent
- Provide technical direction and career-growth opportunities
