About the Role

As part of the core software development team, focus on the video processing pipeline, develop real-time video processing and distributed processing software, maintain testing and validation frameworks, troubleshoot audio/video infrastructure, and collaborate with infrastructure and content operations teams.

Requirements

  • Experience and working knowledge of Go, Rust, and C programming, including unit and integration tests
  • Ability to develop and debug Go, Rust, and C code
  • Experience debugging third-party software and working with libav, ffmpeg, or gstreamer codebases
  • In-depth knowledge of media packaging and encoding, including MP4, FMP4, CMAF, DASH, HLS, RTP, MPEG-TS, SMPTE 2022, and SMPTE 2110
  • Strong software development and architecture background
  • Minimum BSc in CSEE or a related discipline and at least 5-7 years of industry experience

Responsibilities

  • Understand and help shape the vision of just-in-time decentralized video with outstanding quality and real-time delivery
  • Develop real-time video processing and distributed processing software modules
  • Research and evaluate the feasibility of new features and approaches
  • Create and maintain test and validation frameworks for quality, accuracy, load, and performance
  • Maintain audio/video pipeline software and tools for troubleshooting a highly available network of nodes
  • Work with infrastructure and content operations teams to ensure the product works correctly in real deployments
