About the Role
Design, develop, and operate distributed systems for data pipelines and real-time event processing. Scale the streaming platform, improve reliability and developer experience, collaborate across product and data teams, build internal tools and documentation, and mentor engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including distributed systems at scale
- Experience with Kafka, Flink, and Debezium
- Proficiency in event-driven architecture and stream processing systems
- Passion for platform engineering and developer experience
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Design and operate distributed data streaming platforms that scale to billions of events per day
- Develop secure, performant, and highly reliable systems using Kafka, Flink, and Debezium
- Collaborate with product, infrastructure, data, and ML teams
- Build tools and documentation for internal developers
- Mentor engineers and guide architectural decisions
