About the Role
You will deliver Identity and Access Management capabilities across the whole stack, from infrastructure and databases through to UI experiences. You will design and implement APIs, models, workflows, orchestration surfaces, and services, and research and prototype solutions in emerging areas to turn validated ideas into product features. You will work closely with product management, UX, and engineering teams to deliver elegant, usable, and scalable outcomes, participate in the full development life cycle including design, coding, testing, rollout, and production support, and use modern AI tooling such as Claude Code in your day-to-day engineering work. You will share knowledge and support other engineers through design discussions and code reviews, thriving in a rapidly changing environment.
Requirements
- Ability to design, build, test, and operate production services using Java, JavaScript, Google Cloud, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Ability to use AI engineering tools to accelerate research, code understanding, prototyping, implementation, and documentation
- Experience building production services, distributed systems, or shared platform capabilities
- Experience designing and implementing APIs, RESTful services, integration contracts, and data or domain models
- Experience turning requirements and ambiguous problems into designs, prototypes, and production-ready solutions
- Experience with authentication, authorisation, and identity management
- Ability to communicate technical decisions clearly and collaborate across teams and time zones
Responsibilities
- Deliver IAM capabilities across the Ping platform from infrastructure and databases through to UI experiences
- Contribute to the design and implementation of APIs, models, workflows, orchestration surfaces, and services
- Research and prototype solutions in emerging areas to turn validated ideas into product features
- Work closely with product management, UX, and engineering teams to refine features and designs
- Participate in development life cycle activities such as design, coding, testing, rollout, and production support
- Use modern AI tooling such as Claude Code to accelerate research, prototyping, implementation, and documentation
- Support other engineers through design discussions, code reviews, and knowledge sharing
