About the Role
Design, build, and maintain backend services for core products and platforms, including event-driven systems, containerized microservices, architecture, production monitoring, debugging, testing, deployment, and performance improvements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend development experience in Go or a similar language.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Kafka or an equivalent streaming platform.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and event-based communication.
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Temporal or Cadence.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and container orchestration, including Kubernetes and Docker.
- Understanding of observability, monitoring, and performance optimization.
- Ability to troubleshoot production issues, analyze system behavior, and drive resolution.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain backend services that power core products and platforms.
- Develop event-driven systems using Go, Kafka, and Temporal or similar orchestration tools.
- Build scalable microservices in containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Drive architecture decisions that improve performance, resiliency, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and QA to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Own code in production, monitor and debug services, and improve performance and reliability.
- Write automated tests and follow CI/CD best practices for high-quality deployments.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing.
