About the Role
You will develop high-fidelity simulations of articulated truck dynamics and control behavior. You will model vehicle and environmental effects, compare simulations with on-road results, evaluate controllers, and help build evidence supporting safe driverless operation.

- 4+ years of controls development experience for automotive robots

Responsibilities
- Simulate articulated truck motion in response to steering, accelerator, and brake inputs
- Model vehicular motion and coupled tractor-trailer interactions
- Incorporate environmental effects including incline, road bank, rolling resistance, and wind
- Characterize nonlinear effects including gear shifting and electronic stability control
- Analyze simulation fidelity against real-world performance
- Evaluate controller performance across multidimensional assessments
- Build a safety case for driverless operation
