About the Role

Design, build, and own core components of Stellar Core, including scalable distributed-system architectures and subsystems. Write maintainable C++ or Rust code, investigate and refactor performance bottlenecks, conduct design and code reviews, and author technical feature and protocol RFC specifications.

Requirements

4+ years of software development experience on a team.
Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
Production experience with modern C++ or Rust.
Understanding of software design patterns and reusable, extensible, modular components.
Knowledge of development best practices and tools.
Performance debugging and benchmarking skills.

Responsibilities

Design and build key components of Stellar Core.
Develop robust, scalable, and extensible technologies for developers and network participants.
Collaborate on new architectures and subsystems.
Write clean, maintainable code with edge-case analysis and future-proofing.
Own core subsystems and help deliver critical product milestones.
Contribute to code reviews, design reviews, and engineering best practices.
Investigate and refactor performance bottlenecks.
Author technical feature and protocol RFC specifications.
